I"m not sure if I properly understand this method

Are that the same  ? :

if IgnClass.InheritsFrom(cm.HClass) then begin //Delphi

if pObj(IgnClass).AncestorOfObject(cm.HClass) then begin //KOL

IgnClass is Pointer (to some object)

Correction:
cm := PClassMode(<object stored in TList>)

PClassMode = ^TClassMode;
TClassMode=
 object(TObj)
  HClass:TClass;
  SpecialHandler:TTranslator;
  PropertiesToIgnore:PStrList; // This is ignored if Handler is set
  destructor Destroy; virtual;
 end;
