Freepascal and kol 2.16 need change of ppDelphi s windows.pas   Найти похожие ветки

Vladimir,

For KOL 2.16 to work correctly with freepascal 2.00, the following routines in windows.pas from pp.delphi.zip need to be updated:

UNcomment Get and SetThreadPriorityBoost.

Would you like me to update it or will you do that yourself?

Also, I noticed some paint problems with the new version, but that I need to investigate further

do you mean than declaration of set/getthreadpriorityboost must be opened for free pacal as well as for Delphi2?

I mean (see my other post) that it is better to guard these routines by checking the platform: It is OK for all versions of Delphi on NT platforms, even Delphi2, but it is not OK to use it for platforms < WvNT. It is definitely NT only.
The reason for my initial post was, that the declarations were commented out in windows.pas from the PPDelphi pack. Since Freepascal 2.00 is so compatible, this is no longer necessary. Since Freepascal is free - and stable-, everyone should upgrade anyway ;).
Btw: there is no problem at all when using the JCL version of the windows units, but that is a lot of work to work with the first time. I see what I can do to remove the need for ppDelphi.zip altogether.
Meanwhile I would appreciate it if you would look into the matter concerning the platform dependence.

Regards,

Thaddy
