i saw on the kol site that gandalf made a translation of kol to kylix, and there"s also a gluecut patch for fpc. now can this combination be used to run kol apps with fpc under linux ?

platform independence gets more important the higher the number of linux users grow...very interesting also project lazarus http://www.lazarus.freepascal.org/ , hopefully it get"s stable soon

You can write simple programs in KOL+FPC under linux, but unfortumately not much yet, because the visual control bindings are not finished. KOL+FPC under windows works good. KOL+FPC under linux is still highly experimental. What Gandalf did thus far is more like a proof of concept: He proves it can be done, but it needs very much more work! Maybe put it in sourceforge to speed up development for the widgets layer that is needed.
