Delete key for edit box

Is there an option to turn on delete functionality automatically, or must you call an on keydown event for delete key with edit boxes and memos?

You are right, I tried it on a blank project.

Something must be causing an error in this particualr situation, I will have to track it down.

Okay, problem solved.. I had a MainMenu Item called "delete" with a Delete key accelerator (keyboard shortcut) and this overrides normal delete key behavior in the entire application.

No, only if the edit control has not focus ;)
This is operating system behaveour, not KOL ;)

hmmmm, strange ;)
It is really the behaveour of Windows itself! Look inside kol.pas and look inside the vcl: itis almost the same! ;)
