Say you have text in a multiline editbox (KOLMemo). This text spans past the end of the window. The horizontal scroll bar is now active because of that.

Then when you start to delete the text, and the text is now -not- past the end of window.. the scroll bar does not deactivate or "gray out". It just stays active, like it thinks there is text spanning past the end of the window, bt when in fact it was deleted already.

Was this behaviour in KOL on purpose?
Or is there maybe a property I am missing to make the scrollbar in KolMemo behave like notepad would.

If not, I will trap API messages in Notepad and see what messages I have to add to make the scroll bars Gray Out when text deleted in a line.

Hmm, actually I just tried notepad and it has the same behaviour!
Scrollbars don"t Gray out until you actually delete -everything- on the line.

Maybe I am used to other editors where the scroll bar is automatically grayed out for you, when there is nothing past end of line.

Which is entirely logical, since Notepad is Microsoft"s Shell round the Editbox API control. :) Just like wordpad is a shell for Richedit, nothing more.

Yup everything is just a shell or a wrapper really isn"t it. Everything.. haha.. now if only we could focus our efforts on something original like Delphine OS instead of being slaves to microsoft.
